Tucked away among the hills and glens of Scotland, a little world of curious characters is waiting to be discovered.

Northern Nomes was created from a love of storytelling, Scottish heritage and the simple joy of bringing imagination to life. Each character has its own personality, inspired by legends, landscapes, traditions and the people who have shaped the stories of the North.

From proud Highlanders and ancient clans to mysterious woodland folk and tiny keepers of forgotten tales, every Nome carries a little piece of Scottish charm wherever it finds a home.

A World of Characters

The Northern Nomes collection is divided into two magical realms.

The Northern Clans celebrates Scotland's rich history, from Highland warriors and musicians to explorers, dreamers and characters inspired by the many paths of Scotland's past.

The Wee Folk brings together a gentler woodland world of handcrafted characters, each created from reclaimed timber and inspired by nature, folklore and the quiet magic found in the forests, shores and hidden places of the North.

Every Nome is designed to be more than just a decoration — each one has a story waiting to be imagined.

Crafted in Scotland

Northern Nomes are individually created in small batches, with each character carefully brought to life using a mixture of traditional inspiration and creative imagination.

Colours, fabrics, textures and finishing details may vary slightly from one character to another, making each Nome wonderfully unique.

These little folk are made to be treasured as decorative pieces, bringing a touch of Scottish charm, folklore and personality into homes across the world.

The Maker Behind the Magic

Northern Nomes is a small independent Scottish business created by me, Moira.

What began as a love of crafting and character creation has grown into a whole community of clans, folk and storytellers. I enjoy creating characters with their own identities, histories and little quirks — the kind of characters that make you smile and wonder what adventures they may have had before arriving at your door.
