Blaine Whistlewick follows will-o'-the-wisps and old drovers' paths, never quite where you expect him and always exactly where he needs to be. A Wayward Spirit of the Hidden Path, he drifts through the Highland glens on his own mysterious schedule. His tall slate-grey hat rises to a sharp point like a standing stone, its amber diamond gems catching the light at odd angles, waymarks on a journey only he can follow. The warm ginger of his beard is the only soft thing about him; everything else speaks of distance, weather, and the particular contentment of someone who has long since stopped caring about the quickest route.

He is not lost. He has simply decided that the long way round is usually the more interesting one.

The Story Behind Blaine Whistlewick

Blaine is hand-crafted with care, each one made individually so no two are ever quite the same. That unpredictability is entirely in keeping, he arrives already his own person, already mid-wander, already halfway through a story he hasn't finished yet.

He walks the Hidden Path, the oldest of the Northern Nome trails, winding through ancient woodland and forgotten glens where the veil between the everyday world and something older grows thin. The Hidden Path Folk do not seek attention. They are the watchers, the weavers, the quiet keepers of things most people have stopped believing in. To have one is to invite a little of that old magic home.

A Northern Nome with Character

A Little Piece of the Highlands

Blaine makes a brilliant gift for the free spirits, the wanderers, and anyone who has ever taken the scenic route on purpose. He'll find his spot — probably somewhere unexpected — and settle in like he was always meant to be there.
